The safety of every rider, horse, and visitor at Tyddyn Farm Equestrian is our priority. To keep everyone safe, all users of our facilities must read and follow the rules below. By booking a slot or entering our premises, you agree to comply with these rules at all times.
Riding at Your Own Risk
Horse riding, handling, and being around horses are inherently dangerous activities. Unpredictable animal behaviour can lead to serious injury or death. All persons enter our site and use our arenas entirely at their own risk. We strongly advise all riders and horse owners to hold their own personal riding and horse-owner liability insurance.
Safety Equipment
- Correctly fitting hard hats conforming to current BHS (British Horse Society) safety standards must be worn and fastened at all times when mounted.
- Appropriate riding footwear with a defined heel must be worn.
Horse Health
- All horses must be fit, healthy, and have up-to-date equine influenza vaccinations.
- We reserve the right to spot-check passports.
Supervision of Children
All persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times while on our premises. Parents and guardians are responsible for the safety and conduct of children in their care.
Dogs
All dogs must be kept on short leads at all times and confined to the parking areas. Dogs are not permitted inside the arenas.
Instructors & Freelancers
If you are bringing a freelance instructor, they must hold their own valid public liability insurance.
Leaving the Facilities Clean
You must clear up all horse droppings and dropped hay from the arena and parking areas before you leave. Failure to leave the arena and parking area clean will result in a £50 cleaning charge.
